Easter Decorations 6
I had drawn a picture based on this Easter placemat in the bottom photo back in the early 1980s but I foolishly used it for my Spanish project for this holiday in high school. My teacher liked it alot and I was too afraid to ask her to give it back to me. I redid the drawing in the late 80s but it's not as good. Mom liked it though, she even bought a frame for it. I used some cute Easter stickers for the other handmade decoration, also done in the early 80's. We got the color cling on one at our grocery store a couple of years ago

Easter Decorations 2
I love looking at the Easter decorations, esp. in our local Hallmark store, O Johnnies. I'd probably buy alot more to add to my old collection if this were in the budget. I haven't really decorated for any holiday in a long time though. It was always so much fun doing so as a kid. The top photo is of the characters from the Paas easter egg dye kit. Purple was always my favourite color to do and I also loved eating that color jellybean.

Easter Decorations 1
All of these decorations are from the late 1970s and early 1980s except for the Snoopy egg bank one which my friend Carolyn gave me in the late 1990s. My friend's mom made the one rabbit out of styrofoam balls and pipe cleaners. It's slightly damaged now but still one of my favs as is the chick next to it which is also handmade.

Happy Spring! - Easter is on it's way
The Easter bunny has already been spotted in my neighborhood - a little early but that's okay. The picture came out a bit fuzzy buy this is such a cute bunny. The Easter basket photo is from last year - we got all these Russell Stover eggs when they were half price after the holiday which is what we'll be doing again this year for these and the Gertrude Hawk Smidgens at the mall. We did get some from there this past weekend though - solid dark chocolate for me and peanut butter-milk chocolate for my brother. I have lots of Easter Beanie Babies and these are just a few. Easter was always my second fav holiday behind Christmas and I love all our decorations from both.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
I've had Carvel Ice Cream cakes on my mind lately and also the commercials for them. We never really bought any of the holiday ones, just some for our birthdays and other occasions. They were so delicious. I'm sure that this St. Patrick's Day one is too.

Atari on sale at Target!
I was never that good at video games but sure did have lots of fun with our Atari, esp the Activision brand games such as Pitfall and Dolphin. We got ours in 1982 and by the late 80s gave it to our cousin Mary. I kind of wish that we had kept it.
