These are some of my favourite photos and memories of the 1970s. Summertime was always so much fun. I love the one of my brother sleeping with his racecar. We were goofing off and playing dressup one day - kind of strange to be wearing such things on a hot day. The photo on the bottom right is of Mom who is standing by our swingset, Aunt Dorothy, cousin Sal, Grandma, my brother and I.

You always have such great pics! I need to get a scanner and borrow a couple of my Mom's photo albums. There's some great retro stuff in them!
Darrin - thank you so much. I hope to be seeing some of your scanned photos soon. I know that I'll enjoy seeing those.
Yes, you have awesome pics. I have pulled out family albums looking for pics too, after seeing yours :)
Childhood in the 70s was fun. A different time for sure.
Chelly - I'm really looking forward to seeing your family photos. It's always fun seeing the fashions and everything else about the 70's and 80's. Recently I was looking at my mom's old photos which I got a kick out of, maybe I'll post some of those too.
The swingset reminds me of the metal Sears one that I grew up with. I agree with Chelly that the 70s were a great time to be a kid.
Pam - I remember the day that my Dad and our family friend Al who was like an uncle to us put up this swingset. I do remember the store and it's location but not the name of the place that it is from though. Our family did go to Sears and Two Guys often back in the 70's. It surely was a great decade to be a kid.
