My mom and her friends/coworkers went on a bus trip to a dinner theater in Delaware called The Three Little Bakers in 1985. She bought this alligator bread there. I didn't want to cut it up at first because it was so cool. It did taste really good.
Creativity to this extent always amazes me. I've recently caught some portions of these cake making shows on the TV... talk about incredible! Those things are unbelievable - they defy gravity and are really works of art! I wonder if they even taste anything like a cake? Glad to hear the alligator bread tasted goo, too!
I've seen a couple of those on Food Network too. One was a competition and they seemed to be under alot of pressure. I wish that I could be that creative. I haven't baked a cake in about 20 years. One of them got stuck in the bundt pan and was a mess.
