These are 2 of my favorite books that I got in grade school through the Scholastic Book Club. I had some others and wish that I had kept those also.

Emergency!

This was one of our favorite shows when my brother and I were kids. For Halloween one year my brother dressed up as a fireman with the Emergency helmet.

Beach Boys mini concert

My brother and I went to a GMA summer concert series featuring the Beach Boys on June 15th in Central Park. We got pretty close to the stage and I took lots of pictures. They did 4 songs including California Girls and Good Vibrations. We had a nice time. I hope that everyone is enjoying the summer so far. I'm just getting back into the blogging thing so I'm hoping to catch up on reading posts soon. I've missed everyone here.

Not Necessarily The News - Sniglets

I remember when we had HBO on cable in the 1980s watching a comedy show called Not Necessarily the News. My brother and I liked this. One of the segments on it was Sniglets. I bought 2 of the books about this back then but sold them at a flea market but took them into a book trading place which I regretted. I did find one a few years later at a flea market. It wasn't in the best of shape but I got it. When I was taking pictures of it for my blog it fell apart. I seem to be having trouble with the new way this site is set up. I had one more photo but it wasn't accepting it plus I can't seem to type inthe paragraphs right here which is making me feel like so frustrated.Wish they had just kept it the way it was. Sorry I have not been visiting my fav blogs lately, I've been spending way too much time at another one over at Tumblr. Hope that everyone has been well lately and I'll try to catch up on my reading here very soon.

Walkman/Discman

I still have my walkman and dicsman. One of these days I might just save up for an iPod but it's not really a priority. I'd rather save up for a concert ticket.

My Buffy

My Buffy loved playing with rocks and sleeping in her puppy bed.  She first came into our lives April of 1998. It was love at first sight. She was definitely a grandma's girl though. It has been a year and a half since we had to have her put to sleep. 

My best memories of the past 14 years include our sweet spaniel.

Favorite Childhood games

I had looked throught every storage tote in the basement - we have lots of those - and could not find the 2nd game tote which was upsetting. I did not realize that my brother had switched them into a bigger tote that used to have something else in it. This was the only unlabled one. One day I had to move this tote for the Verizon guy to put a box in our basement. For some reason I decided to open it up and when I did I was so happy to see our games in it. The Monopoly, Parcheesi and Dominoes are actually from my mom's childhood. She had Clue too which I loved but we lent that to our cousins and never got it back before they moved.  Mom bought us a newer version in the early 1990s but it's just not the same, wish that I could have the old one again
