I had thought about selling most of my Duran Duran stuff on ebay but am glad that I changed my mind about this. These are some of my 8x10's that I bought online and at a shop at an indoor flea market. I never was into this group in the 1980s. I didn't really become a fan until around 1992 when Ordinary World came out. Back in the mid 90's I had a scrapbook and pins that I got at a flea market but by 1998 I had thrown all that stuff out and sold most of the pins. My interest in DD increased in 2005 when all the originals got back together and I saw them in concert at MSG in NYC. I really got into collecting books, mags, photos and other stuff a couple of years later. I felt like I was making up for not being a teenie bopper fan and recently felt kind of embarrased about this and wanted to just get rid of it all but now that I'm no longer ashamed to be a fan I'd like to hang onto the memorabilia.

I remember vividly back in the '80s when MTV brought onto the American music scene all these great British groups: Culture Club, Eurythmics, the Police, and many others. And of course, among them, Duran Duran. Very catchy music, and very memorable videos.
What a great collection of pictures, Laura! I wasn't really that into them back then, but of course, now I love all the '80s music right along with the great '70s stuff I love, too!
Wow, another great collection Lara! It's awesome that you decided to keep them. They're in such great condition. Duran Duran brings back such memories. :)
lazlo - I'll always enjoy that music too. I didn't really start watching any videos until the 90's though but many of them are interesting and fun. I'm thinking of getting into more "new wave" groups/artists even now.
Darryll - I'm so happy that you like my photo collection. I have more which will be in future posts. It's great that now you enjoy the 80's music also. I'm into some of the 70's stuff too and my brother was nice enough to put a station of just that decade's music on his computer yesterday.
Chelly - Thanks so much. I even kept the scrapbook in the bookcase upstairs instead of returning it to the storage tote in the basement after taking those photos which originally were for posting to ebay. Glad that I could bring back these nice memories for you.
