It's kind of funny seeing stars doing this though. These certainly stand out in my memory.LaraAnnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15460415207474314306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8664101394884228307.post-24201641498613420162010-05-07T14:00:04.971-07:002010-05-07T14:00:04.971-07:00Wow - This brings back a lot of memories. I'd certainly forgot about some of them, like Michael Landon doing Kodak Commercials, but there were only a couple listed that I didn't know.

I always wonder how much celebrity sponsorship really works. I mean - really - We like to quote the stars "EVerything tastes better when it sits on a Ritz..." but just because Andy Griffith said that doesn't make me want to go buy them.

And while maybe some of that is all about people who really actually do use a certain product because their favorite actor(ress) uses it, there's probably a lot of subliminal advertising / power of suggestion / etc. going too.

I think it just gets the name out in front of people who remember it when they get in the store...

Anyway - there's my take on it all... not that you necessarily asked for it... :)Blast from the Pasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03217073481077042162noreply@blogger.com
